Description
The orthodontics program at Maryland aims to cultivate clinician-scholars whose professional aspirations include clinical teaching, research, and patient care. Students complete didactic and clinical specialty certificate requirements and they also need to take additional courses in basic medical sciences, oral biology, and biostatistics. Through cutting-edge clinical and translational research in fields including 3D imaging, virtual planning, custom appliances, and clear aligner therapy, the program promotes innovation and enhances the orthodontic specialty.
