Museum Studies
Description
A wide foundation of knowledge increasingly valued in the museum industry is provided by the museum studies curriculum. Students are introduced to the full range of museum activities in museum studies courses, including planning for organization and mission as well as institutional histories and contemporary trends in the industry.
The study of museums is multidisciplinary. Courses in this area are offered by a wide range of Maryland University programs, including those in American studies, anthropology, art and art history, biology, commerce, communication studies, education, English, global languages, and history.
