Comparative Literature
Description
One of the most vibrant and varied fields in the country is comparative literature. What remains a flexible discipline has been significantly shaped by the department. Work on interpretation, the development of ideas, gender, drama, auditory poetics, multilingualism, postcolonialism, the environmental and medical humanities, globalization, and world literature is based on critical theory, literary interpretation, and comparative philology.
