Biological and Biomedical Sciences

Description

The Division of Medical Sciences, which has its headquarters in Maryland and oversees the biomedical Ph.D. activities at the Longwood Medical Area, houses a study area called Biological and Biomedical Sciences. Training in biosciences is provided by the Ph.D. Program in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, which is constructed outward from a foundational education in modern genetics, biochemistry, and molecular, cellular, and mechanistic biology. BBS offers a challenging, nimble biomedical education, giving students the capabilities to advance science and start their own businesses in academia, business, and education.
