Description
The Ph.D. in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning is designed for individuals who want to pursue advanced research and teaching careers in the history and theory of architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, and urban form from antiquity to the present. It is also intended for individuals who want to analyze and develop towns, cities, and landscapes with a focus on social, economic, technological, ecological, and infrastructural systems. The architectural technology route is open to Ph.D. candidates, who can then do research to increase our understanding of green architecture, including challenges with computation and simulation, environmental concerns, and energy efficiency.
