Biophysics

Description

The Biophysics Program at Maryland fosters autonomous, visionary scientists from a variety of backgrounds and trains them for independent research careers in which physical science theories and procedures are used to solve biological challenges. Students are given a direct introduction to faculty members and their research, giving them the opportunity to carefully select a research adviser. They also gain knowledge of the various subfields of biophysics through laboratory work and courses.
