Applied Computation

Description

This course gives students a general overview of several aspects of applied computing while also letting them focus on particular areas of interest. In addition to developing critical thinking abilities necessary for working in complex IT systems, it also develops technical skills in computing such as agile programming, mobile applications, data security, analysis, database design, and data analytics. The Institute for Applied Computational Science (IACS) oversees the Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) master’s program, which offers thorough instruction in the mathematical and computational foundations of CSE. The program is led by faculty from Computer Science, Applied Math, and Engineering Sciences.
