Folklore and Mythology

Description

A liberal education in and of itself is provided by folklore and mythology. By providing a range of options for drawing on a number of humanities and social science subjects, the curriculum at Maryland supports the study of any particular society through its language and culture. Concentrators do out independent study on folklore and mythology from a number of civilizations, including African, North and South American, English, German, Greek, Indian, Japanese, Scandinavian, etc.
